FAQ’s

Q: What do I need to bring?

Summer trips require fishing license and recommend a rain coat. Snacks or extra drinks can help as well. Winter trips require warm clothes. Ask your guide if there’s any other equipment you want to bring as space may be limited.

Q: What is provided?

We provide all gear and tackle and live bait and all shacks and heaters in the winter. Just show up with appropriate clothes and something to drink.

Q: Can i bring my own equipment?

Although we have some specific equipment customized for the style and presentation we are fishing we want you to be comfortable as well. Often times we can learn from each other as you incorporate your style. Feel free to bring some rods or lures along (limit 3 rods and 5-6 tackle trays in open water). We encourage you to ask your guide before bringing equipment.

Q: What Can I Keep?

Legally you can keep your limit of panfish on a given body of water (25 statewide and 10 on special lakes). However in many cases we will ask you to be conservation minded and the “boat” limit is 10panfish/person or 20 total on most lakes. If you’re looking to bring back more fish talk to your guide so he can plan ahead and tailor the trip toward a specific lake type.

For smallmouth bass and usually largemouth we ask that you take pictures and measurements for a replica. Keeping trophy smallmouth is strongly discouraged.
